10 Months Later...

I threw a fit the other day. I couldn't stand it any more. Our garage has been a disaster since we moved in ten months ago. We had luggage, a 12 foot Christmas tree, garland, wreaths and a bunch of junk all over the place. I demanded something be done! The HyLoft system Seth wants to buy is pretty expensive, but I didn't care how much it was going to cost because I wanted a clean garage. As Seth was leaving for Lowes to see what could be done, he felt inspired to check Craig's List. He found four HyLoft garage ceiling shelves, gently used in Florence at a price we couldn't pass up. I LOVE CRAIG'S LIST and MY CLEAN GARAGE!!!

Sisters

Alex and Rachel are step-sisters. Rachel and Taylor are step-sisters. What does that make Alex and Taylor?

What is the true meaning of the word sister? Websters defines sisters as:

sis·ter (sis′tər)
noun
a woman or girl as she is related to the other children of her parents;
a woman or girl related to one by having a parent in common; half sister a stepsister a foster sister. A
close female friend who is like a sister
a female fellow member of the same race, church, profession, organization, etc. sorority sister, soul sister
a member of a female religious community, usually one with simple vows
Informal any woman: often used as a familiar term of address

My definition: We are all sistas and need one another!

Please Say A Prayer For Taylor

My good friend, Crystal, just found out that her 15-year-old daughter, Taylor, has cancer. This is her story...
"I took Taylor to the ER on Monday, March 2nd because she hadn't been feeling well and her stomach had become very distended during the middle of the previous week and did not go down over the weekend.

"In the ER (8 hours of fun, not!) they took some labs and took some Ultrasound pictures. We were told that she had a very large tumor on her right ovary and a smaller one on her left and to contact my GYN the next day. Imagine my surprise when we RECEIVED a phone call from my GYN in regards to Taylor and our ER visit.

"After 4 days of (lost hours in) waiting rooms, exams, blood labs, x-rays, Pet scans, driving hither and yon..........we now know that Taylor has Advanced (stage 4) mixed germ cell ovarian and lung cancer. This type of cancer is very receptive to Chemo, but before that she will have 2 surgeries to remove her right ovary (has a 22 cm tumor), tumor on the left (hopefully save that ovary) and if they come across anything else (hopefully not!)

"Several days later she will have the 2nd surgery to remove tumors on her lung. Probably a week to recover and then chemo (will cross that bridge when we get to it). At this point because she has fluid in her lungs, we will go in for a procedure to remove the fluid (Sunday) and her first surgery will be Monday the 9th.

"Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. We will probably never be able to express our gratitude for the outpouring already and I know we have quite a rocky road ahead. We'll try to keep you updated"

Say a prayer for Taylor. We Love you Taylor!
